New Beginnings Layout

New Beginnings is definitely an apt title for this layout!  In October, we purchased a new sofa and loveseat to replace the set that has lovingly worn out.  They were delivered earlier this month, and we simultaneously began emptying my late mother-in-law's house as her housemate has sold it.

We are working to make room for some of her treasures into an already full home.  I am really pleased with how our living space is turning out as we blend the old (but new to us) with the new.  It is nice to have reminders of those who have gone before us.
I used the January stamp of the month, Looking Forward, with a combination of Evergreen and Silver Bells (plus a touch of Pine patterned paper from a collection from last year) and Evergreen die cuts.   I used Mocha ink and TriBlend markers.  I think that it is so fun to mix & match collections (and I love how Close To My Heart designs collections to mix together).

How much do you love the little notebook paper journaling spots?  I will be using them often!  Grab them before they retire in just a few short days!

P.S.  This is layout 2 of 52 for 2024!

22nd Birthday Layout

My first layout of 2024 is complete! (And it’s from an event that isn’t even a year old! LOL)  I selected Pattern 15 from the new Make It from Your Heart, Volume 6, for this layout and the Let’s Party collection.

I really love how I was able to use these busy papers without the papers overwhelming my photos.

Adding a little Bluebird ink with a blending brush really helps my title frame (cut with the Stitched Fancy Brackets Thin Cuts) pop.

I used a mix of stamped Thin Cuts and acrylic shapes from the collection to embellish my layout.

Don't be afraid to write directly onto your pages!  Your loved ones will treasure your handwriting and your words!  Besides, mistakes are an opportunity to embellish!

The Best Is Yet to Come Card

This card uses the Skylark paper collection and stencil paired with the January stamp of the month, Looking Forward, and its Thin Cuts (die cuts).  (These are only available through the end of the month, so get yours before they're gone!)

The featured colors are Toffee, Lagoon, and Limeade.  (If there's a next time, I won't use the middle green of my TriBlend marker, only the light end.)

Looking Forward Baby Shower Card

Happy New Year!  Last weekend, I had the privilege of Attending a baby shower for a sweet new baby who will make his appearance next month.

I use the new Sweet Memories collection with the January stamp of the month, Looking Forward. That adorable mama Kanga and her baby Roo are from a retired stamp of the month set from last year. I used Tri-Blend Markers to color everything. I’m really grateful for the coordinating Thin Cuts with the January stamp of the month. I did fussy cut mama and baby.

The main colors of this card are Sage and Periwinkle.
