Veterans Day

Today we remember and honor our veterans, the courageous men and women who served our country. May we remember the statement etched into the granite of the Korean War Veteran Memorial in Washington, DC: Freedom is not free.

Who do you personally honor today? Please leave a comment so that we can all remember the names of real American heros. If they are still living, please help me thank them for their service.

Please also remember and say a special prayer today and every day for the servicemen and women currently in the military and their families. My family and I are so thankful for what they are doing!

  1. I honor my Father who is an 85 year old veteran of WWII. In the morning there will be a post on my blog about his receiving his diploma decades after he left school for the war. I am part of a Veteran's Day blog hop. Thank you for posting this!

  4. I join in honoring all veterans as well as those who are currently serving, but most special to me is my father, Roger, who was a pilot in the Army Air Corps in WWII.
