Gratitude Layout

Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends!  At my recent scrapbooking class, we created this layout to remember our gratitude and appreciation.

The fancy cuts you see were all made with the CTMH/Cricut Artbooking cartridge and the Huntington paper pack.  We added bronze shimmer trim and bronze and almond glitter glitz gel to add a little bling and pizzaz to the layout.  Our new jute ribbon was very easy to add to the page: I ran a strip of tape with my Tombow tape runner, and then used a glue dot at each end and in the middle to be sure it stayed in place.

I am looking forward to getting photos of all of our family this week as we celebrate Thanksgiving!  My aunt and several cousins are coming with their families, plus we'll spend time with Hubby's family too.  We'll definitely enjoy some mandatory Forced Family Fun!
To decorate the tree, I first sponged the trunk with Desert Sand ink and then stamped the wood grain from the Huntington Workshop on the Go stamp set, also in Desert Sand.  Some of the leaves are covered in glitz gel and others are pieces of Huntington B&T.  (I'm linking this layout up to Heart 2 Heart Challenge's sponging technique challenge and the Craft Your Passion challenge #190: Thanksgiving/Give Thanks.)

Come back soon to see the coordinating mini album we made.
