You may not be able to see my two- on my left- too well in this photo (I'll try to get a better one this week), but believe it or not, I did mine before the girls got theirs!
I didn't know it, but we (along with a few other teachers and students) set off a really big controversy at school. The principals informed us Friday that colored hair was against the dress code. Since I didn't interpret the code that way, off to the principal I went. My dear friend & co-teacher then went w/me to see the superintendent. (Yep, she's got a pink streak too! At least we were rebels with a cause.)
Whew...I'm certainly glad you didn't get your name on the board!
ReplyDeleteYou know I would honor Aunt Marj, who bravely fought breast cancer for too many years, and lost her battle just over a year ago (this said for any readers unfamiliar with her). Hopefully this wicked disease will be eradicated.
Love the pictures of all my cutiepies...xoxoxo, Mom
You can use those boxtops i sent for all the choicepoints you're losing!
ReplyDeleteWay to be different! I would honor my Aunt Millie who had a double mastectomy and will be doing the 3 day run in Phoenix in a few weeks! Yay!!!
ReplyDeleteGo get them Haley! You're a rebel with a cause! I am sure your aunt would be so honored! Rules were made to be broken. If I was closer, I'd sit in detension with you!
ReplyDeleteLove ya gf!
Leanne
I may have to go get one of those, I have lost several dear friends to breast cancer. Wonder how it would look in curly, gray and brown hair!
ReplyDeleteHugs...
If I had enough hair to add an extension I would. I'd do it for Aunt Marjory as well. Save the TaTas! (I saw that on a bumper sticker!)
ReplyDeleteGood. For. You. I'm glad you prevailed in this show of support for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Have a great day. :)
ReplyDeleteGood job fighting the system for a cause you believe in. I'd do it for my MIL and several friends.
ReplyDeleteWay to stand up for yourself! He should be proud of you!
ReplyDeleteYou go girl!
ReplyDeleteLove the look of your Website, but you need to change the color of your links. I couldn't read them at all on my Mac.
Way to stand for what you believe in! It's important to have a cause and believe it...too many times we allow the world to dictate our thoughts, thus compromising our beliefs. Good for you!
ReplyDeleteYou go Girl!!! You know my story. I appreciate what you are doing, and it proves that we can all do something. It's really fun to fight "city hall".
ReplyDeleteI'm proud of you.
