Another Strips Sketch Card

Someone I know turns 50 tomorrow, and we are showering her with some love today!  I made this card for her on my Thursday Live last week (8/6/26) using the Artisan Sketched Garden DSP.  (You can watch the replay on YouTube HERE if you're interested in learning how to make this card.)

Be sure to decorate the insides of your cards!

You can catch me on my Facebook Live each Thursday at 7:30 PM!  Hope to see you there!

Thursday's Live: Strips Card Sketch

Last Thursday's Facebook Live (each Thursday at 7:30 PM) card creation uses scraps to create a pretty card (or two)!  (You can also find YouTube instructions HERE.)

My prototype uses the Valley in Bloom and Artisan Sketched Garden DSP (both on sale 15% off this month, while supplies last).  I also used my Scalloped Blooms bundle, Garden Green ink & Stampin' Blend, plus Pool Party Stampin' Blend.

If you're not yet decorating the insides of your cards, give it a try with scraps of paper or stamped images!  Tomorrow I'll post the card that I made live.

Get inky, friends!  Catch me tonight for my next Facebook Live at 7:30 PM!

Our daughter needed a birthday card for a friend, so I helped her create this Turtle-y Cute card with the recently retired stamp set.

It's been so nice having her home for the summer!  I'm sad she had to go back to grad school!  Modern technology makes it easy to stay in touch, fortunately.

August Card Class #1: Happy Birthday

The theme of my August card class was "big stamps to make a big impact" to highlight two cool stamp sets, With You in Mind and Layered Thoughts.  The first card uses Layered Thoughts paired with Arched Wishes (ON SALE Last Chance!) and Celebration Expressions Memories & More cards.

The top card uses a Daffodil Delight cardstock base, random stamping in the matching ink, and Happy Birthday stamped with Balmy Blue then fussy cut.  The bottom card uses Lemon Lolly instead with random stamping in Daffodil Delight, and then Happy Birthday stamped in Black on Berry Burst cardstock then fussy cut.  Which do you prefer?

Beautiful Gallery Secret Sea & Cloud Cover Card

This card may look familiar, because it is another take on the fun-fold card I recently shared.  I changed the color palette to use our In Color sale items Secret Sea and Cloud Cover, but uses the same design as the recent black-and-white card.

Yesterday I attended some great in-person Stampin’ Up! training for some Tennessee demonstrators who graciously included this Georgia girl, and met some lovely ladies!  I love the friendships this crafty community offers.  The meeting offered an optional card swap, and I am so glad that I participated in it!

Can you tell that the large left panel uses the lighter side of the Cloud Cover Two-Tone cardstock?

Products used:

• Gallery Blooms bundle (stamp set & dies)

• Beautiful Motifs stamp set

• Cloud Cover Two-Tone, Secret Sea, and White cardstock

• Secret Sea Stampin' Pad

• Damask Designed embossing folder

• White ribbon

Beautiful Motifs Die Cut Green Card

Here is another card made with the Beautiful Gallery suite, featuring the Beautiful Motifs dies and coordinating stamp set.  (Remember, all suite items are on sale BOGO 50% off this month only!)

I stamped the floral tapestry stamp on the center of the Very Vanilla panel with Old Olive ink and then used a blending brush to add more color.  I then die cut the Beautiful Motifs die, which only partially cuts the leaves.  (You can see the Old Olive card stock panel underneath).  I adhered the panel to a top-fold Granny Green cardstock card.

Be sure to add a Very Vanilla stamped panel to the inside of the card and stamp the envelop too!

NOTE: This suite and its products will be on sale (BOGO 50%) starting 6/3 and running through the end of the month!

BOGO 50% Off on All Suite Products (through June 30)

Coral Lavender Birthday Card

It was fun to explore new color combos with this card featuring Petal Pink, Calypso Coral, and Cajun Craze paired with the Country Woods DSP.

I really like how the flowers look stamped in first and second generation Cajun Craze on the woodgrain DSP.  Notice the Pecan Pie ink distressing on the edges.

Many of these products are last chance options, plus there is currently FREE SHIPPING through Friday!  Learn more HERE.

Family Reunion Layout with Thoughtful Journey & Perennial Lavender

Using the beautiful Thoughtful Journey 6"x6" DSP on a 12"x12" layout is easier than you think!  (We cut and "stretched" the paper behind the mats.)

I love how well this beautiful paper coordinates with the Thoughtful Journey 12x12 specialty papers and my Perennial Lavender stamp set and dies.  Of course there is a gorgeous Thoughtful Journey suite of products, and bundles are always at a discount.  Don't forget that select DSP is on sale at 15% off this month!  Learn more HERE!

Fun Fold Frog Card

Honestly, I can’t get enough of the adorable frogs available in the Lily Pond Lane suite!  (I thought the ducks would be my favorite because I’m such a bird lady, but I cannot resist the frogs currently.)  Here is a fun fold frog card I made (closed).

I used DSP for the focal "pond" and dies from the suite.  The front flap actually opens to the right...

...to reveal the cute frog and the sentiment "hello friend!"

And finally, the left side opens up.

This card feature seven of the 24 patterns of DSP in this collection, plus some of the die cuts and stamped images.

This paper pack is part of this month's DSP sale and is 15% off!
