Happy Thanksgiving!

Wishing you and yours a very happy Thanksgiving!  I'm grateful that you're part of my Inky community.  Please leave a comment to let me know where you're visiting from.

I had fun using scraps from my Autumn Toile DSP and Autumn Metallics specialty paper.  After I snapped this picture, I realized that I should have added an acorn rather than a pinecone, but the pinecone die cut was just sitting on my table waiting to be used.

Wishing you all the best!  Thank you for being here!

November Card Class: Branching Out #4

Secret Sea and the Peaceful Garden DSP add such richness to the Branching Out bundle!

I used Secret Sea, Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie, Shaded Spruce, and Cloud Cover inks.  I added die cuts with Peaceful Garden glimmer paper and Pecan Pie cardstock (colored with Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends).

I'm going to have a lot of fun playing with this combo at my open studio crop today!  Join me if you're in the area!

November Card Class: Branching Out #3

This simple Branching Out bundle card uses only cardstock, ink, and stamps with a blending brush tool (and some pretty Faceted Snowflakes gems).

I used Very Vanilla and Cherry Cobbler cardstock with Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie, Cherry Cobbler, and Shaded Spruce inks.

November Card Class: Branching Out #2

The second card from my November card class used the pretty Elegant Pine Snowflakes DSP as the focus with die cut accents from the Branching Out bundle.

The Merry Christmas is from the Calm & Bright kit (currently unavailable but will be back in stock).

Branching Out Card #5: Facebook Live Post

Here is the Branching Out Christmas card with a masked blending technique (to add layers without bulk) that I made on last Thursday’s Facebook Live. (Did you know that my customers receive a PDF of instructions for each Thursday’s project? All you have to do is place an order with me at https://inkyscrapper.stampinup.net)

Don't forget to decorate the insides of your cards and the coordinating envelopes!

Do you send Christmas cards?  If so, do you make them or buy them?  If you make them, how is your stash coming along?

November Card Class: Branching Out #1

Each month I hold a card class and a scrapbooking class in my basement studio.  My November class featured the beautiful Branching Out Bundle (stamp set and dies) and Elegant Pine Snowflakes DSP.  We make a total of four unique cards.

This card uses the dies from the set along with the 3-D birch embossing folder. The merry Christmas stamp is from October‘s paper, pumpkin, cozy Christmas. Don’t be afraid to mix and match your products!

Can you see where I colored the red berries onto the pecan pie die cuts?

Coffee & Cards Kit Together: Calm & Bright

Last weekend, I held my first Coffee & Cards Kit Together at a local bakery/restaurant.  Ten people had signed up, but only 6 could make it due to the illness.  (I will be rescheduling with the four who fell ill as they are a group of friends.)  We had a great time crafting together with the (currently unavailable but will be back in stock) Calm & Bright card kit.

This kit creates 9 cards, 3 each of 3 designs.  Most of the ladies had never stamped before, so they definitely built up their confidence!

The only thing we needed that wasn't included in the kit was scissors to cut the thread.

Can you see the iridescence on some of the die cuts?  They add such a pretty sparkle (because the holidays should definitely sparkle and shine).

Two hours was not enough time to put all 9 cards together, so I will schedule better next time!  (There will be a next time, probably in January.  Let me know if you're interested in attending!)

Housewarming Card

We were invited to a housewarming party recently, so I quickly made this card using the Calm & Bright kit stamp set and paper from my stash.

I wish that I had stamped some stars or blended some ink in the top left corner to give it a little more texture and dimension, but it's still pretty cute.

Branching Out Merry Christmas Card

Here is another card I featured on a Thursday night Facebook Live on my InkyScrapper page, using the Branching Out bundle in Shaded Spruce, Cherry Cobbler, and Pecan Pie.

Tales of Hope Gala

A local pet rescue organization held a fundraising dinner recently, and I donated a set of 8 cat and a set of 8 dog cards along with a free stamp class for the recipient(s).  I'm pleased to announce that they were bid on, but the winner(s) have yet to contact me about a class.  I hope that they will.

Happy Halloween (October Card Class #4) & a Bonus

This card was so fun to make (and was sent to one of my daughters already)!  It's another tri-panel interlocking card (like the one I made for my nephew HERE).

I used Peach Pie, Petunia Pop, and Shy Shamrock glimmer paper, plus black, white, and Petunia Pop cardstock.

I die cut the sentiments from the Words of the Season dies.  The cat is a Cricut cut.

Here is the bonus side-stair card that I made for our other daughter.  I added a little Cricut spider and wrote her message on the back.

Hope you have a SPOOK-tacular Halloween!

Branching Out Birthday Card

Each Thursday at 7:30 PM, I go live on my Inky Scrapper Facebook page, and this is the card I made last Thursday.  My customers and team members get written instructions to create my live projects.

I use the new Branching Out bundle, 3-D Birch embossing folder, Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie, Shaded Spruce, and Very Vanilla card stock plus the coordinating inks.

Join me live tonight at 7:30 (or on replay)!

October Card Class #3: Sending Warm Wishes

Continuing the Autumn Toile theme, for this card, I challenged myself to design a fall card with the Notes & Totes bundle.  I like how it turned out (although some of the ladies thought that it was challenging to make).

We used different combos of DSP to create our backgrounds and our totes.  Who needs some warm wishes sent to them?

(I'm already planning ahead for a holiday card with this set!  You're invited to my next card class on 11/9!  Let me know if you can attend.)

October Card Class #2: Wishing You the Happiest of Days

It's important for me to teach a new technique or fancy fold (or something!) to my lovely ladies, so we used blending brushes with Pumpkin Pie and Mossy Meadow ink to color the little leaves.

Again, we used Autumn Toile DSP and Autumn Metallics, plus the pretty gold ribbon.

Don't forget to decorate the insides of your cards!

By the way, I have two in-person card classes on 11/8 (Calm & Bright kit together) and 11/9 (Branching Out) so let me know if you'd like to attend (or order a virtual kit).

October Card Class #1: Thinking of You

The first three cards of my October class used the handsome Autumn Toile DSP.  I paired it with the stamp set from September's Paper Pumpkin kit, Fall for Toile, which coordinated perfectly!

The Very Vanilla label and Autumn Metallics foliage dies are from the Peaceful Garden suite.  We colored the acorns with colored pencils to match the paper.

This panel was one sheet of DSP cut in half to use both sides.

(You're invited to my next card class on 11/9!  Let me know if you can attend.)

Autumn Toile Interlocking Panel Birthday Card

My firstborn nephew turned 19 last weekend, and I made this fun interlocking panel birthday card for him with the Autumn Toile DSP.

It was also the model for a Halloween card we made at my October card class, so my customers will receive printed instructions to make this card.

I think it turned out beautifully!

Happy birthday, Alex!

Simple Thinking of You Fern Card

This simple card uses Peaceful Garden DSP & fern die cut and sentiment stamp from the Beautiful Motifs bundle in Cloud Cover and Secret Sea.

Simple is beautiful!

Quick Peace on Earth Card

Stampin’ Up! creates such pretty DSP (designer series paper) that it’s quick & easy to create a beautiful card.  This is one piece of dove DSP from the Peaceful Garden DSP and three cuts to create the different rectangles.  Because the DSP is two-sided, you could also flip two of the rectangles over for a different look.

The dove and stamp set are from the Peaceful Garden bundle (stamp sets and dies) and then I blended a little Cloud Cover ink on the circle to help it stand out.  The dove is holding a Cloud Cover glimmer paper die cut sprig and then I finished it with a little Misty Moonlight & Silver ribbon.

I made this card on one of my Facebook Thursday night lives (HERE at 7:30 each Thursday).

Six Christmas Cards from One Sheet

Here is another set of one-sheet-wonder cards that I made using the same template as before (see those cards HERE) but with a definite Christmas twist this time.

I used a sheet of (retired) Reindeer Fun DSP paired with Early Espresso, Real Red, and Garden Green card bases.  I added in a few pieces other DSP from the same collection and a tree from the leftover die cuts.  I used a retired Paper Pumpkin stamp set for my sentiments and some red pearl embellishments from my stash.  These came together quickly and easily.

Again, if you're a customer of mine and would like the template, just let me know (or become a new customer and let me know)!

Thinking of You (Artisan Design Team CASE) Card

One thing I often hear customer say is that they are not creative. (That's one of the reasons I fell in love with stamping!)  When I am not feeling creative, I love to browse my idea books or Stampin’ Up!’s Instagram or Facebook. When I find something I like, I CASE it (copy and share exactly) only with my own twist.  This card was inspired by one of our Artisan Design Team members.

I made this card on one of my Facebook Thursday night lives (HERE at 7:30 each Thursday).

I used Autumn Metallics specialty DSP with the Peaceful Garden embossing folder; Autumn Toile DSP; Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, & Pecan Pie cardstock; Cajun Craze ink; and Streaked Dots.

Six Peaceful Garden Cards from One Sheet

Here are the six cards that I made with the Stampin' Up! Craft Along One Sheet Wonder (see p. 42 of the September-December Mini Catalog) for my World Card Making Day Open Studio Crop.  I used a sheet of  Peaceful Garden DSP; Cloud Cover, Secret Sea, and Basic White cardstock; a piece of Secret Sea glimmer pair; paired with Secret Sea & Cloud Cover ink and Hues of Blues embellishments.  I used my Beautiful Motifs bundle (stamp set & dies).

Card #1's technique was adding ink blending, so I chose to try adding Petal Pink and a scrap of Petal Pink cardstock.

This card uses the Beautiful Motif dies and fussy cutting from the Peaceful Garden DSP.

I used both Cloud Clover cardstock and Secret Sea glimmer paper for the pretty fern accents.

Both the previous and this card use both sides of this pretty DSP.

I stamped the background of my card base with Cloud Cover ink.  I also ink distressed the edges of the focal panel with Secret Sea ink.

Customers of mine can request this one-sheet-wonder template if you don't have it already!

Peace on Earth Card #2 (September Card Class #4)

One of the Artisan Design Team members inspired this card!  (The Artisan Design Team is a group of selected demonstrators who create for Stampin' Up!'s socials and to inspire everyone.)

I used the Peaceful Garden bundle (stamp set and dies) plus the 3D Birch embossing folder.  Inks are Secret Sea and Cloud Cover (blended on the circle die).  What do you think of the Secret Sea glimmer paper dove?

I like how we cut off the card front edge and then adhered it to the card base to make this white-on-white card more interesting.

Peace on Earth Card #1 (September Card Class #3)

This card uses the Peaceful Garden DSP and bundle (stamp set and dies) plus the Peaceful Garden glimmer paper.

The glimmer paper is so much prettier in person!

I thought that I would add the die cut dove to the front of the card, but it just seemed to overpower the card.  To help it pop on the inside, I blended some Cloud Cover ink like I did on the front sentiment label.

How cute is that Pecan Pie envelope?

Hey, Pumpkin Card

Did you know that I host a live video on my Inky Scrapper Facebook page each Thursday evening at 7:30?  Recently, I made this card using the Autumn Toile DSP and the September Paper Pumpkin stamp set.  (Learn more about Paper Pumpkin subscription box HERE!)

I used colored pencils to color the pumpkins and to create the faux stitching.  I based this card on a sketch idea in the September-December Mini Catalog.  I love how a sketch inspires me to be creative.

I will be featuring these products in my October card and scrapbook class on 10/19.  If you can't attend in person, you can request a kit.  Email me for more info!

Another Flap Card

Happy World Card Making Day!!! This card is very similar to the sympathy card I recently shared, but this time I used a piece of the gorgeous Beautiful Gallery 6"x6" DSP as my focal panel.  For the flap, I added two Everyday Arches dies (Secret Sea and Basic White).  The sentiment is from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set (part of the Beautiful Gallery suite).

To decorate the inside, I cut two 3/4" squares on the diagonal, sort of like old time photo corners.

I may stamp the inside when I decide who will be getting this card.  Who would you send it to?
