More WCMD

Here is one of the five cards I taught for my World Card Making Day class today.  We began with a Colonial White card base and random stamped the rose from the Card Word Puzzle stamp set in Bamboo.  The "thanks" sentiment is from the Many Thanks stamp set, and I stamped mine in Goldrush and layered it on a New England Ivy mat.  We cut the flowers out of the Flirty paper (and the pretty orange piece is the back of the same floral paper).  Some Bronze Glitter Glitz Gel adds some bling while keeping this card easy to mail.
This card was made with the Avonlea paper pack and the Card Chatter- Sympathy stamp set.  It is my go-to set for sentiments.  I really wish you could see how pretty that Slate polka dot ribbon is in person!
Both cards use sketches from the how-to guide, Make It From Your Heart, Vol. 1.

Finally, my younger daughter decided to participate, and she ended up making the most cards with a total of 17!  That girl was on a roll!  Check them out below.  (Note to self: buy more bling to replace what she used.)
Happy World Card Making Day!

  1. Wonderful cards!! The slate ribbon just can't quite be captured on film - it's depth defies 2D, I think!! The first time I saw it, I was mesmerized. *.*

  2. Karen, I totally agree with you! It is so much prettier IRL than any photo shows. My gals were also super impressed by the new silver glitter trim!

  3. I can attest to how pretty that ribbon is, I think I will be ordering some soon. Great cards, Haley, and I really enjoyed the class and crop. I think I have now completed 21 cards this weekend ot nearly as many as Macey but I am happy with that number! Have a great week.
