If you're reading my blog, then TAG, you're it! Now you've got to play along with us at Heart 2 Heart Challenges! This week's challenge is to use a tag on your project.
My card was totally inspired by one that I saved to my Pinterest Paper Crafting board. (You can see the original here.) I love banners and tags, and they look great together. I began with a Creme Brulee standard card base. The three banners or flags are scraps from my Buzz & Bumble paper pack. The tag is from an office supply store. I used my A Buzz stamp set for the message, inking it up first in Creme Brulee, then Sunset, and finally a little Cocoa. I used a scrap of burlap ribbon, Sunset baker's twine, and a little wooden bee from the Buzz & Bumble embellishment collection.
Now it's your turn to take the TAG challenge @ H2H! We'd love to see your interpretation of this fun challenge!
I love those versatile tags, and the darkened edges around them to make them pop. Lots of good details on this card!
ReplyDeleteLove your card! I especially love how you stamped the bee image on the card base, but masked it off for the sentiment. Great way to show the versatility of our stamps. :)
ReplyDeleteI love this design, Haley! I think I even created a Christmas card recently using a similar one. That tag just really seems to make the card extra nice.
ReplyDeleteReally cute card. I love the texture of the burlap and baker's twine...and the banner shapes are perfect!
ReplyDeleteHayley - I just love your card and the way you used your tag on it with the banners. This has been a hard paper pack for me to deal with because of the bee paper -- thanks for the inspiration :)

Haley, great card with these papers! I love your tag tie and how you anchored the hole for it--cool way to tie it! I did not even recognize the stamp at first, lol!
ReplyDeleteI love this paper pack, and I really love what you've done with it. That subtle stamping on the base adds something you don't even notice right away, but it sure would be missed if it wasn't there! And I love, love, love the way you inked up the sentiment!
