Think Pink!

What do you think of our new 'dos? In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our hair salon offered pink hair extensions with a donation. How cool is that to raise awareness? I'm wearing mine in memory of my dear Aunt Marjory.

You may not be able to see my two- on my left- too well in this photo (I'll try to get a better one this week), but believe it or not, I did mine before the girls got theirs!

I didn't know it, but we (along with a few other teachers and students) set off a really big controversy at school. The principals informed us Friday that colored hair was against the dress code. Since I didn't interpret the code that way, off to the principal I went. My dear friend & co-teacher then went w/me to see the superintendent. (Yep, she's got a pink streak too! At least we were rebels with a cause.)

This morning the superintendent came to tell my co-teacher and me that we can't wear the colored hair. This afternoon they've decided we can. Aren't we pretty in pink?
Who would YOU honor with pink hair or an awareness pin?

Whew...I'm certainly glad you didn't get your name on the board!

You know I would honor Aunt Marj, who bravely fought breast cancer for too many years, and lost her battle just over a year ago (this said for any readers unfamiliar with her). Hopefully this wicked disease will be eradicated.

Love the pictures of all my cutiepies...xoxoxo, Mom

I may have to go get one of those, I have lost several dear friends to breast cancer. Wonder how it would look in curly, gray and brown hair!

If I had enough hair to add an extension I would. I'd do it for Aunt Marjory as well. Save the TaTas! (I saw that on a bumper sticker!)

Good job fighting the system for a cause you believe in. I'd do it for my MIL and several friends.

You go girl!

Love the look of your Website, but you need to change the color of your links. I couldn't read them at all on my Mac.

Way to stand for what you believe in! It's important to have a cause and believe it...too many times we allow the world to dictate our thoughts, thus compromising our beliefs. Good for you!

You go Girl!!! You know my story. I appreciate what you are doing, and it proves that we can all do something. It's really fun to fight "city hall".
I'm proud of you.
