Bay Window Card 2

Here is the bay window card that we made in my August card class.  (Please let me know if you'd like more info about the classes I offer!  I love sharing paper crafting!). We used the Thoughtful Journey DSP and a sentiment from Country Ducks stamp set with die cuts from Perennial Lavender.

Don't forget to decorate an envelope for an even more special delivery!

Bay Window Card 1

The bay window is a fun fold card that folds flat for mailing but can then stand up.  I made this card out of the beautiful Thoughtful Journey DSP as a prototype for my August card class.

First is the card standing up and second is the card laying flat for mailing.  (The far right side of the card front will tuck into the right side of the inside of the card so it will stand.)

I used a sentiment from the July paper pumpkin kit and dies from the Perennial Lavender collection.

Tomorrow I'll share the card we made in class.  Remember, this DSP and others are on sale for 15% off until the end of the month.

Enjoy Today Card

Happy Monday!  I thought it would be appropriate to post this card today, especially since I made it on a Live and forgot to post it.

If you are ever struggling to come up with a design or an idea, have you ever thought about copying something from the catalog?  I used the Labeled with Love stamp set and dies bundle and Unbounded Beauty DSP plus Peach Pie glimmer paper to put my spin on a card on p. 58.  Don't be afraid to use what you have to create something you love!

Sundays Are for Sketches: #13 of 22

This series has been so fun to keep me motivated and making cards!  Here is sketch #13 from p. 22 in the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog 2024-25.

My first card uses the Unbounded Beauty DSP (still on sale at 15% off this month), In Color glimmer gems, and the Labeled with Love stamp set in Basic Gray.

For the second card, I tilted the sketch on its side and used Thoughtful Journey DSP, coordinating pearls, and Night of Navy ink.

Remember that a nice selection of DSP is on sale this month (15% off).

Family Reunion Layout with Thoughtful Journey & Perennial Lavender

Using the beautiful Thoughtful Journey 6"x6" DSP on a 12"x12" layout is easier than you think!  (We cut and "stretched" the paper behind the mats.)

I love how well this beautiful paper coordinates with the Thoughtful Journey 12x12 specialty papers and my Perennial Lavender stamp set and dies.  Of course there is a gorgeous Thoughtful Journey suite of products, and bundles are always at a discount.  Don't forget that select DSP is on sale at 15% off this month!  Learn more HERE!

Just for You Thoughtful Wishes Card

Did you know that I go live each Thursday evening on my InkyScrapper Facebook page?  Here is a card I made last week live using the Thoughtful Journey DSP (on sale this month at 15% off).

I added die cuts from my Painted Lavender collection. The sentiment is from Labeled with Love.

See you live tonight around 7  PM!

Sundays Are for Sketches: #12 of 22

Sketch #12 is so fun!  I can't wait to see what you make with this one!

I'm continuing to use the beautiful Unbounded Beauty DSP and In Color glimmer gems for my card series and I paired these cards with the Labeled with Love stamp set.

I made a second card with the Thoughtful Journey DSP, the coordinating pearls, and some Night of Navy ink blending.

Don't forget about this month's DSP sale!  Many collections are 15% off this month only.

Fun Fold Frog Card

Honestly, I can’t get enough of the adorable frogs available in the Lily Pond Lane suite!  (I thought the ducks would be my favorite because I’m such a bird lady, but I cannot resist the frogs currently.)  Here is a fun fold frog card I made (closed).

I used DSP for the focal "pond" and dies from the suite.  The front flap actually opens to the right...

...to reveal the cute frog and the sentiment "hello friend!"

And finally, the left side opens up.

This card feature seven of the 24 patterns of DSP in this collection, plus some of the die cuts and stamped images.

This paper pack is part of this month's DSP sale and is 15% off!

Sundays Are for Sketches: #11 of 22

We are halfway through this series!

Once again, I've used Unbounded Beauty DSP with In Colors Glimmer Paper in Petunia Pop.  This birthday sentiment is from Country Ducks.

Remember that DSP is on sale (15% off) this month only!

St. Ignace Layout

Since I have printed so many photos (but not all of the ones I took!), I am really having fun making grid-style layouts and then using paper to accent them.  For this layout, I used strips of Lake Life paper behind my photos and then made the little pennants with scraps and a sticker from the collection.

I added in some of the Paprika accents to coordinate with the pretty lighthouse, so I also stamped my title in Paprika rather than Acorn (which also coordinates with the collection and what I've used on other layouts).  The white circle will have a yellow and red sticker on it that we received after climbing to the top of Castle Rock (but the sticker is in our SUV that is at the repair shop right now).

If you're a scrapper or want to be one, join me at one of my upcoming classes (or we can schedule some other time to craft together)!  Find my class schedule HERE.

A Softer Side to Lily Pond Lane

Here is the second card we made at my July class featuring the Lily Pond Lane suite.  I wanted to focus on this pretty paper without the "critters" (ducks, frogs, and fish).

I think this color combo is so pretty!  I love how different this card is from the frog card recently posted (made from the same suite/collection).  (The sentiment stamps are from Sentimental Park stamp set, not Country Ducks from the suite.)

Another Frog Card

At my July card class, we made our own unique versions of this fun frog card using the Lily Pond Lane suite.

To create the "pond" we used ink and a blending brush rather than cardstock.  After coloring the frog with colored pencil, a little Wink of Stella shimmer makes him sparkle.

My next card class (featuring Thoughtful Wishes) will be on August 18.  Hop, I mean, HOPE to see you there!

Pictured Rocks & Waterfalls Layouts

Our Great Lakes Grand Tour was so fun!  After we left my cousin in Wisconsin, we traveled to Lake Superior in the UP (Upper Penninsula of Michigan) and the town of Munising to see Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.

The lake was too rough for us for our scheduled boat tour, so we enjoyed the lakeshore and visited six waterfalls in the area.
Using the Lake Life Scrapbooking Workshop kit made these layouts come together quickly and beautifully.  I'm excited that Stampin' Up! will be releasing some brand new, seasonal scrapbooking kits next month!

Sundays Are for Sketches: 10 of 22

Catching up on this fun series with the 10th sketch!

I used Unbounded Beauty DSP + In Colors Glimmer Paper in Petunia Pop.  All stamped images are from the Labeled with Love stamp set.

Of course I had to add a little Wink of Stella to the (fussy cut) butterfly!

Gone Fishin’ Layout

This layout was so fun to make with the Lake Life scrapbooking kit!  Unfortunately it's no longer available, but I am looking forward to more kits coming in September (think Halloween and Christmas)!

I did add some Acorn ink to the backgrounds so that the elements "pop" a bit more, and I added Seabrook ink to the fish die cuts to make them a little more realistic and interesting (plus that contrast also helped them pop on the page too.

Without the kit, I never would have combined all these different elements, but I like it a lot.  My picture are still the focal point of the page.

Finally, I added the duck sticker on the bottom left to help remind me of the loons on the lake.

Take to the Sky Birthday Card

My brother just recently celebrated a BIG birthday, and since he is both a surveyor and a pilot (and his gift had an aviation theme), I made this birthday card for him with the Take to the Sky DSP.

I used a really simple sketch from p. 22 of the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog (the 14th one if you're counting them) to highlight the topography and planes paper and the happy birthday sentiment from my Sentimental Park stamp set.  (The wooden arrow was from my stash.)

Cardmaking doesn't have to be difficult to be meaningful!  Happy birthday, Brian!
