H2H Challenges: Sugarplum, Sapphire, and Sage

Heart 2 Heart Challenges has a lovely color challenge to finish November: use Sugarplum, Sapphire, and Sage on a project.
I decided to make a non-traditional Christmas card using Bunches of Love stamp set and the little M-size Merry Christmas stamp.
Following Pattern 4 from Make It From Your Heart, Vol. 4, I cut the Sapphire piece from the Grateful Heart collection, Sage card stock, and Sugarplum glitter paper.  I stamped the floral image from Bunches of Love with Sapphire ink and then over-stamped the floral centers with Sugarplum and the leaves with Sage.
I decided to stamp the leaves again on scrap White Daisy and then fussy cut them to adhere over the Sage card stock.  Hopefully if you look closely you can see Sugarplum shimmer brush on the flowers and the Sugarplum gems on the berries.

If you visit the H2H blog, you'll find lots of inspiration with this pretty color scheme.  We hope you'll join us before the end of the month!

Featured Paper Collection Blog Hop: 'Tis the Season

Although I'm partial to celebrating one holiday at a time, in the crafting world you have to work ahead of the season.  'Tis the Season is a wonderful, traditional collection to celebrate your holidays! (If you're already hopping then you've arrived from Carol's blog.  From here, you'll visit Shirley's blog next.)
My layout is very simple.  It came directly from the 'Tis the Season Workshop Your Way, which made it super fast to create.
Don't you love the gold foil in the Complements?
Now to decide if I'm going to put last year's or this year's pictures on my layout...

Be sure to continue along this blog hop to see some pretty creations with the 'Tis the Season collection.  Visit SHIRLEY next!

Merry Christmas Blessings Blog Hop

It's time to get ready to craft for the holidays, and you're sure to find some incredible ideas along this Merry Christmas Blessings blog hop!  (If you're already hopping then you've probably arrived from Darlys's blog.  From here you'll visit Krista's blog next.)
My first project is a card using the Christmas Blessings stamp set and Mink card stock for my card base.  I stamped the "O come let us adore him" sentiment in Charcoal and then sprinkled silver embossing powder on top.  After heat-setting, I added the piece of Boutique patterned paper that I had cut an oval with my Cuttlebug and Thin Cuts.  I stamped the holy family with Charcoal ink and then the stars and shepherds with Pewter ink.
A little silver trim and gems finished off this card.  I think that its simplicity helps focus on the true reason for the season!
I also created an ornament with this stamp set, Peacock card stock, Charcoal ink, silver embossing powder, and our shaker windows.  You can read about this project HERE.

Thank you for celebrating some Merry Christmas Blessings along this blog hop!  Please leave a comment before you dash off to Krista's blog!

Shake Things Up (CTMH Technique Blog Hop)

It's time to shake things up with Close To My Heart's fun shaker card products!  Hop through this blog hop to get lots of great ideas for shaking up your work.  (If you're already hopping then you've probably arrived from Melissa's blog.  From here, you'll visit Debi's blog next.)
My first project is an ornament (or tag).  I created my base with the You Are Here CTMH/Cricut cartridge (it's the compass base) cut at 3.5" from Peacock card stock. I stamped the Christmas Blessings sentiment and stars with Charcoal ink and then sprinkled silver embossing powder on top.  I heat set the powder to get the pretty silver.
I stamped the shepherds and sheep with Charcoal ink onto the lighter side of Peacock card stock and then fussy cut it out.  I also cut another scalloped circle at 3.25" to cover the foam from the shaker window.
A little twine finished off this ornament!
For my layout, I used the Holiday Sparkle shaker card kit and Oh What Fun collection to create a layout.
You can read more about this project HERE.

Thanks for shaking it up with me!  Now go see what DEBI has created!

November Stamp of the Month Blog Hop: Seasonal Trees

The holiday season is upon us, and Close To My Heart has a beautiful, organic stamp of the month set for November!  Follow this hop to see some amazing projects with Seasonal Trees.  (If you're already hopping then you've probably arrived from Jean's blog.  From here you'll visit Carrie's blog next.)  I decided to create a set of 4 cards featuring each season.
First up is winter: the background is Glacier B&T from the Boutique collection.  I stamped the trees in first and second (and even third) generation in Charcoal ink.  I added the bird with Candy Apple ink.  The "snow" is a piece of White Daisy card stock that I tore to give the rough edge.  I layered texture paste onto that piece and then some clear shimmer brush on top of the paste.
Can you see the sequins from our shaker kits?  Use Liquid Glass to attach them to your projects!
My spring card uses the Grateful Heart paper pack with the addition of Sweet Leaf ink.  (The darker leaves are stamped with Fern ink.)
My summer card also uses the Grateful Heart collection plus White/Fern stitched ribbon.
Finally, my fall card is full of color!  I added a Sapphire bird house.  The leaves run the gamut of the Grateful Heart collection colors.
Thank you for visiting my blog.  I hope I've inspired you to create with the November stamp of the month, Seasonal Trees.

I'd love a  comment before you leave to go to Carrie's blog next.  Thank you!
