A Year of Flowers April Birthday Card #2

For this birthday card, I used A Year of Flowers stamp set and the coordinating dies/bundle.  I love that the dies not only include all 12 flowers (and each are numbered with 1 for January, etc.) but also the pretty label and some foliage sprays.

If you look closely, you'll notice that I stamped the April stamp onto the gingham label and that the die only cuts the flower, which was layered over the sprigs.  To make the gingham label "pop," I added the Basic White rectangle behind it and then used my black Stampin' Write pen to create faux stitches.

A Year of Flowers April Birthday Card #1

Here is the first card that I made (and sent) with A Year of Flowers stamp set paired with Floral Delight DSP for a special friend's April birthday.

It was so easy to stamp the image and quickly color with two Stampin' Write markers (Old Olive and Crushed Curry).  Can you see how I added Wink of Stella to the petals?

A few Drusy adhesive gems finished off the card.

Don't forget to stamp the inside of your cards and the coordinating envelope.  It was really easy to mask the month for the card and envelope.

Bookbinding Birthday Card (Two Ways)

At my April card class, we made this fun bookbinding birthday card featuring the Arched Wishes stamp set and Bright & Beautiful 6"x6" DSP.  We tried a fun coloring technique where we created a stencil and "colored" the cupcake with blending brushes.

Since the DSP is 6"x6", it's easy to add a strip to the inside for a little extra fun.

The second card that I made is a faux bookbinding because of the arched panel instead of the square front.

I like the fun stripes on the back of the DSP for the inside of the card!  This DSP is on the Last Chance list, so get it before it's gone.

This time, I decorated the inside with stamps from the stamp set.  Always dress up the inside of your card and its coordinating envelope!

Stair Step Easel Birthday Card

My "baby" has a birthday last week, so I made her this pretty stair step easel birthday card with the Wildflower Birthday DSP, Arched Wishes stamp set, and Everyday Arches dies.

To create this stair step card, I began with a 4-1/4"x 12" piece of cardstock that I scored at 1-1/4", 2-1/2", 4-1/4", 6", and 9". then folded as shown.

Next, I attached a 4-1/4"x5-1/4" piece of coordinating cardstock to the front of the back fold to create the tall back panel.  You could certainly use a contrasting color if you prefer.  Embellish as desired.  (I added 4" wide strips to the front small panels: two 4"x1" and one 1-3/4"x4".)

Instead of coloring in the cupcake, I paper pieced it on other pieces of the Wildflower Birthday DSP suite.  The pretty flower and leaf accent was from the included die cuts.  I added several Party Dots to finish off the card.

I decorated the back with the Arched Wishes stamp set and then wrote my message on the inside of that fold.  That way, she can stand the card on her desk (if she'd like) without sharing the entire message.

I think this card helped her feel special since we weren't able to be with her on her day (though we did already celebrate together early)!

Coral Lavender Birthday Card

It was fun to explore new color combos with this card featuring Petal Pink, Calypso Coral, and Cajun Craze paired with the Country Woods DSP.

I really like how the flowers look stamped in first and second generation Cajun Craze on the woodgrain DSP.  Notice the Pecan Pie ink distressing on the edges.

Many of these products are last chance options, plus there is currently FREE SHIPPING through Friday!  Learn more HERE.

Hello Friend Card

This soft card featuring Basic Beige is one of the cards we made at my card class earlier this month.  It uses the Country Lace DSP.

The floral pieces were cut with the Perennial Lavender dies in White Willow and Pool Party cardstock plus Lost Lagoon DSP.  I stamped the sentiment from Charming Ducks stamp set with Lost Lagoon.  A few Pretty Peacock embellishments finished it off nicely.

Most of the items are LAST CHANCE, so grab them before they're gone (HERE)!

Celebrate (OnStage) Layout

The Wildflower Birthday suite isn’t just for birthdays!  My team leader Melissa gave us this layout as a kit that we put together at OnStage for our pictures from the weekend.

We used a fun marker spatter technique on the Pretty in Pink cardstock.

Since I had so many photos, I'm using a 4"x6" and a 3"x4" flip flap to include more photos on the right page.

By using the flip flaps, I was able to add journaling on the card.

Who wants to join the fun?

Flight Solo Layout

A few months ago, my sixteen-year-old nephew successfully soloed, and I was thrilled to be invited to be there!  We are so excited to welcome a third-generation pilot into the family!  Of course I had to use the Take to the Sky DSP to create a layout of this very special day (and I do have his permission to post it).

I cut several arches out of the DSP with the Everyday Arches dies and stamped a few tiny airplanes on the layout from the coordinating stamp set.  I cut the large circle on my Cricut and die cut the title with my Alphabet a la Mode dies with Misty Moonlight cardstock.

The biplane accent on the right page was actually on a card that I received in a swap at OnStage last month, so I carefully cut it off to use on this layout since I didn't get this stamp set myself.

The gray gems were in my stash and added just enough sparkle to keep this layout interesting without being too girly.  Way to go, Will!  We are so proud of you!  Thanks for letting me be part of this special day!

NOTE: The Take to the Sky suite is in the Last Chance section at a discount so grab yours today before all of the elements are gone!

You Are a Ray of Sunshine Card

Surprisingly, this card also uses the Floral Delight DSP paired with the Everyday Arches bundle (stamp set and dies) plus the 3D Soft Wave embossing folder.

I created a template from cardstock for the sunshine rays and used Daffodil Delight ink with a blending brush.  I really like how the Basic Gray sentiment pops but isn't as harsh as black would have been.  Give either a try and see which one you like best!  It definitely depends on the project.  Get inky and happy stamping!

Floral Delight Cards

Here's a quick and easy card featuring the With You in Mind stamp set paired with Floral Delights DSP.

This card uses the Labeled with Love stamp set, Beautiful Butterflies bundle, and the Nested Essentials dies.

Both of theses cards were made at my March card class.  Many of these products are now on sale in the Last Chance section!  Get yours before they're gone!

(On a personal note, today is my mother-in-law's birthday (in heaven), and it is also the day that I officially became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator.  This suite really reminds me of her, and today is an extra special "birth-aversary" for me.  Thank you for being part of my community!)

Floral Delight Butterflies Layout

This layout celebrates my love of butterflies and was the layout we made in my March class.

I used Floral Delights DSP with the Beautiful Butterflies bundle along with the Classic Letters alphabet stamp set.  I stamped the butterflies in Pecan Pie (because I thought black would be too harsh) and the title in Daffodil Delight.

The Floral Delight collection is now on sale in the Last Chance section!  Get yours before they're gone!

Welcoming Garden Kit

This pretty spring/summer kit features two interactive card designs (three each of three designs)!

The first interactive card is a trifold featuring an arched gate on the front and a cute birdhouse and flowers on the second panel.

Can you see the wood grain stamping on the gate slats with the included Crumb Cake Stampin' Spot?
The instructions guide you to pop up some of the flowers and the birdhouse die cut.

The second card is a really pretty gate, again with popped up flowers.  I love how the instructions guide you to overlapping the green leaves with the gate.

This angle shows more of the dimension of this pretty card!

The third card has a gate opening on the front (and is a top-fold card so there's plenty of room for your message).

I love how the gate has a hello sign and then inside the gate is another sentiment!

The Welcoming Garden kit is available while supplies last, so be sure to grab one today HERE!

Floral Impressions Colorful Daisies Thank You Card

Today is the last day to order from the outgoing Annual Catalog and to sign up for the Mauvelous Lollies virtual retreat (info HERE).  For the retreat, will be using the pretty online exclusive suite, Floral Impressions featuring this pretty Impressions Abloom stamp set, which becomes available tomorrow.

For the flowers, I used the outline flower stamps (and not their solid base) with Strawberry Slush, Timid Tiger, and Darling Duckling Stampin' Pads, plus Granny Apple Green for the stems and foliage.  After stamping the sentiment in black and cutting the pennant, I finished the card with In Color Flat Pearls (which have a fun pearlescent sheen).

March 2025 Paper Pumpkin Cards: Daisy Daydreams

Paper Pumpkin is such a fun subscription box!  You don't know exactly what you're getting until the kit arrives!  Here are the three card designs from the March subscription, Daisy Daydreams.

This kit included TWO mini stamp sets, and if you look closely you can see the honeycomb stamped in Lost Lagoon, the included Stampin' Spot.  The gold foil honeycomb die cuts add an elegant accent.

This card design included a vellum accent.  I love how the front panel is raised with dimensionals and how the green bokeh circle is flush with the card base.  (And of course who doesn't love the daisies and the bees?)

The third card has lots of dimension with the popped up daisies!

This angle shows the gold honeycombs better.

Paper Pumpkin is easy to subscribe to, and you can opt in each month or pause/cancel at any time before the 10th of the month for the current month's kit.  Learn more HERE!

Heirloom Arrangements Kit Cards, Part 2

Using only the Heirloom Arrangements kit stamp set, the included Pecan Pie Stampin’ Spot, and leftover pieces from the card kit, I created five more cards by only adding five notecards and corresponding envelopes.

You can see how I used the grid stamp to add some interest to the backgrounds.

I hope these inspire you!  I can't wait to see what YOU make.

Heirloom Arrangements Kit Cards, Part 1

The Heirloom Arrangements card kit makes eight beautiful cards! I made all eight cards mostly following the directions, and in part two I will show you what I did with the leftover pieces.  NOTE: You do NOT have to follow the directions unless you want to!

The kit comes with beautiful botanical die cut pieces, frames, and tags to mix and match.

Pecan Pie Stampin' Spot (included) coordinates perfectly for a vintage look.

I love how everything you need is contained in the small box that the kits come in!

Not pictured, but I stamped the moth inside each card and added it to the envelopes also.  Don't forget to decorate your envelopes!

So Much to Celebrate Card Kit

NO FOOLING!  One thing that I love about Stampin' Up! is that they provide products for all levels of crafters and/or crafting experiences! The So Much to Celebrate card kit is so easy to put together that you don’t have to have any experience whatsoever to create nine beautiful cards (three each of three designs). I would definitely consider myself a very experienced paper crafter, and I still enjoy how fast and easy these kits come together to create lovely cards.

Who needs congrats/best wishes cards this season?  I love the soft colors and gold foil accents.

The coordinating envelopes have pretty stripes.

The preprinted sentiments are available in four languages, so get fancy and use one of them!

At only $14 plus shipping & handling/tax, these cards are a very easy and affordable option.  Everything that you need comes in the box!
