Impressions Abloom Flag Card

Happy Independence Day!  I made this flag card using Real Red, Night of Navy, and Basic White card stock and the Floral Impressions dies.

The six Real Red stripes measure 5 1/2"x3/4" and the Night of Navy rectangle is 2 1/2"x2".  I ended up using 28 of the die cut flowers (which fortunately the two dies each cut three flowers at a time).

Wishing you the best today and always!

Thinking of You Red, White, & Blue Card

Who is ready to celebrate the Fourth of July?  I thought it would be fun to try a patriotic floral card with the Impressions Abloom dies paired with the new Layered Thoughts stamp set.

At first I thought I was going to make a side-fold card but realized that I wanted to use the Layered Thoughts stamp set and a top-fold worked better.  I used the Real Red stripes from the new Regals 6"x6" DSP.  Everything else was cut with White Willow, Real Red, Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight, and Garden Green card stock.  I stamped my sentiment in the oval frame with Night of Navy ink.  A few rhinestone gems finished off this card.

BTW, you might see this on my socials with the #GDP503 for the Global Design Team's Flowers challenge.

A Year of Flowers 2025 Title Page

With the Month by Month Virtual Album Retreat coming soon, I decided that I was going to use this bundle to scrapbook my 2025 stories, memories, and photos, so I made a title page with A Year of Flowers bundle.

I used Regals Stampin' Write Markers to color my flowers and decided on Old Olive and Mossy Meadow for my cardstock (plus Basic White and Black).  I used a piece of Floral Impressions DSP for interest.  The 2025 banner was stamped with one of the stamps in the virtual album retreat bundle.

It's not too late to order you virtual album retreat bundle!  You can find it HERE by searching for virtual album retreat or item number 167338.

Sunglasses Card

Happy National Sunglasses Day!

Using the Notes and Totes bundle, I die cut the sunglasses from the 25-27 In Colors: Strawberry Slush, Timid Tiger, Cloud Cover, and Secret Sea (plus Black).  Then I stamped the sentiment in black and the sun in Darling Duckling.  An In Color flat gem and a black mat finished off this quick card.

Spring Break Impressions Abloom Layout

At my recent virtual retreat, I taught the participants how to create this layout using only 6"x6" squares of the Impressions Abloom DSP and the coordinating stamp set/dies.  (They did have to add their own 12"x12" White Willow cardstock base pages.)

It was a great way for me to scrapbook my fun spring break earlier this year!

Sorry for the glare, but I taught the participants how to use flip flaps to add more photos to their pages, so I needed to put the layout into the memory protectors.

Here are the flip flaps opened up to show more photos.

Please reach out to me if you'd like to know more!

Impressions Abloom “Mystery Card”

Recently I collaborated with 6 other Stampin' Up! demonstrators to host a virtual retreat (that I thought was a LOT of fun).  We kicked off our event with a "mystery stamping" evening where we followed directions (or not) to create a card.  I love how different everyone's are but how you can see the theme throughout.

I used the Impressions Abloom bundle and added Garden Green, Timid Tiger, and Strawberry Slush cardstock.

An extra strip of DSP finished off the inside.

Celebratory Sips Flip Flap Shaker Cards

Did you know that Flip Flaps can be used on cards too?  I made a fun shaker card by adding a flip flap to my card.  (Sorry for the glare.)

I used the Celebratory Sips DSP (and cut out a drink from the paper to shake around in the flap) and added a scrap of Full of Life DSP that coordinated nicely.  I added some sequins from my stash (and they will fall out of the flap but are easy to put back in if necessary).

Does the arch die look a little like a glass to you?  I added a leaf garnish die cut from the Impressions Abloom bundle and stamped Celebrate in Blackberry Ink from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set.

The adhesive strip of the flip flap is on the inside of the card base and under the white liner (not on the back of the card).  Don't forget to accent the inside of your card and the coordinating envelope to make your project extra special!

Beautiful Motifs Die Cut Green Card

Here is another card made with the Beautiful Gallery suite, featuring the Beautiful Motifs dies and coordinating stamp set.  (Remember, all suite items are on sale BOGO 50% off this month only!)

I stamped the floral tapestry stamp on the center of the Very Vanilla panel with Old Olive ink and then used a blending brush to add more color.  I then die cut the Beautiful Motifs die, which only partially cuts the leaves.  (You can see the Old Olive card stock panel underneath).  I adhered the panel to a top-fold Granny Green cardstock card.

Be sure to add a Very Vanilla stamped panel to the inside of the card and stamp the envelop too!

NOTE: This suite and its products will be on sale (BOGO 50%) starting 6/3 and running through the end of the month!

Beautiful Motifs Die Cut Fern Card

This simple cards uses the gorgeous fern die cut from the Beautiful Motifs dies.  I cut it three times, twice on each side of Olive Two-Tone cardstock and once on Old Olive Seasons of Elegance DSP.  If you look closely, you can see a few gold flecks on the Seasons of Elegance DSP.

I stamped the sentiment with Old Olive on the front of this Very Vanilla panel, attached a Basic Beige ribbon bow, and then added the panel to the front of a Mossy Meadow card base.  Honestly, I love the simplicity and beauty of this card.  I hope that you do, too!

NOTE: This suite and its products will be on sale (BOGO 50%) starting 6/3 and running through the end of the month!

Beautiful Gallery "Windows" Card

This card was inspired by another demonstrator's card.  To me, it looks like three windows looking out at the sea.

To create this card, I cut three arches out of one piece of the boating scene of Beautiful Gallery 6"x6" DSP (cut down to 5.25"x4").  I then cut three arches of the next larger die out of Pecan Pie cardstock, then layered the arches onto the back of the DSP.  Three Pressed Flower Motifs gems finished off the card front which was adhered to a Very Vanilla card base.

Not shown, but I added a strip of the DSP to the inside of the card to finish it nicely.

NOTE: This suite and its products will be on sale (BOGO 50%) starting 6/3 and running through the end of the month!

Beautiful Gallery Floral Frame Card

The Beautiful Gallery suite is absolutely gorgeous!  I enjoyed making this simple card with a floral pattern from the Beautiful Gallery 6"x6" DSP framed with Very Vanilla die cut with the Gallery Blooms dies.

After tying a bow with Basic Beige ribbon, I adhered that panel to a Secret Sea cardstock base.  I lined the inside of the card with Very Vanilla.  I decided not to add anything else and let the pretty paper carry this card.

I will be featuring this suite in my July classes, at my home or yours.  I am also going to be working on a heritage album with this suite.  Is anyone interested in joining me?

NOTE: This suite and its products will be on sale (BOGO 50%) starting 6/3 and running through the end of the month!

Month by Month Virtual Album Retreat

Stampin' Up! is hosting our first ever virtual album retreat, a Month by Month 24-page workshop (12 two-page 12"x12" layouts), online July 16-18 (with videos available after the live demonstrations), and you can purchase this amazing product bundle (which also automatically registers you for the event) starting today!

This concept was a staple with Close To My Heart that has been carried over to Stampin' Up!  I have participated in two of these past events, and they were totally worth the experience!  Almost everything comes precut and packaged like kits.  You will learn so many new techniques and creative ways to use the included products (which I suspect will include a new stamp set).

Anyone who purchases the virtual retreat through me will also get supplies and instructions a bonus opening and closing page for their albums as one of my appreciation gifts.  You can use Stampin' Rewards toward the purchase, and you will earn Stampin' Rewards on this purchase.

Please let me know if you have any questions!  Learn more with this PDF and view the sample layouts HERE.  I hope you'll join me!

Layered Thoughts and Celebration Expressions Cards

Have you seen our 6"x8" mini album and Memories & More pocket cards?  Did you know that you can use these pocket cards on cards?  We sell a package of 10 each (20 total) white cards and envelopes that fit the 3"x4" and 4"x6" pocket cards perfectly!

I used the new Celebration Expressions cards paired with the Layered Thoughts stamp set and black ink.  For both cards, I fussy cut elements from another card (or with the balloons, from the part that is covered by the stripes).  For the large card, I distressed the edges of the pocket card with Berry Burst ink using the direct-to-paper technique to give it a little more interest.

I love how I can use "card" products for memory keeping and "scrapbooking" products for cards!

Layered Thoughts Thank You Card

This simple card leans on the new In Colors cardstock for interest.  I cut each strip 4"x1.25" and stamped "Thank" in black on each color using the Layered Thoughts stamp set.  (This is a great versatile sentiments set!)

I stamped "you" on a scrap of white and cut it out, dovetailing each end and adding Cloud Cover In Color Flat Pearl Gems.

This one came together quickly and will be added to my stash because you never know when you will want to show someone appreciation and gratitude!

Impressions Abloom In Colors Card

This no-stamping card uses the dies from the Floral Impressions bundle and the new In Colors, Strawberry Slush, Timid Tiger, Darling Duckling, Cloud Cover, and Secret Sea.

Not only do the dies cut out the pieces, but they also have pieces that dry emboss, which is the texture you see on the flowers and leaves.

For more interest, I tore the Cloud Cover cardstock strips and embossed the Secret Sea cardstock with the 3D Soft Waves embossing folder.

The inside is currently blank until I decide what I will use it for.

Impressions Abloom Birthday Card

Participants in my May card class created this card with the Impressions Abloom stamp set, dies, and DSP.  We used colored cardstock (Fresh Freesia and Pretty in Pink) for the flower bases and then stamped the outlines with Petunia Pop and Strawberry Slush.

The oval cut out is part of the coordinating dies.  The sentiment is from the (retired) Labeled with Love stamp set.

When you make your own cards, be sure to decorate the inside and the coordinating envelope!  Simple stamping adds a lovely accent.

Easter Layout

This weekend, I was able to finish our Easter layout that I started at my scrapbooking class last month.  It needed a few more die cut flowers to be finished.

I love that using the Impressions Abloom stamp set and die bundle allows me to customize my projects to my photos.  I used Blueberry Bushel, Pool Party, Lemon Lolly, Daffodil Delight, and Garden Green Stampin' Pads to match our family photos.  I stamped the title with my Classic Alphabet (retired) stamp set.

It may not be obvious, but I also used the coordinating Floral Impressions 12"x12" DSP (the back sides of two patterns, not the floral side).

The finishing touches are (retired) blue and yellow Tinsel gems.

Cherry Cobbler Notes & Totes Card

Happy National Cherry Cobbler Day!  (Who knew?)

Not only is Cherry Cobbler a sweet treat, but it is a gorgeous Stampin' Up! hue too.  I had to get inky today and make this card featuring Cherry Cobbler, Coastal Cabana, and Lemon Lolly (as suggested in the current Color Coach)!

I added in Pool Party Two-Tone cardstock (embossed with the 3D Soft Waves embossing folder and then torn to make waves) and Crumb Cake cardstock (with "sand" stamped in Crumb Cake).

I used my Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends to create the bag's stripes and my Basic Black Stampin' Blend for the sunglasses.  Let me know if you have any questions about how I made this card.  I'm ready for some beach or lake time!

Maritime Moments Kit

Each month, Stampin' Up! releases two new kits.  The Maritime Moments creates six handsome cards.

Everything you need to create two each of the designs is included in the kit, although you might need a pair of scissors.

I think that these make great cards for the men in your life.

Be sure to get this kit before it's gone if you love or someone you know loves the sea!

Notes & Totes Catalog CASE Card

The Notes & Totes bundle is one of my favorites!  The samples in the new Annual Catalog on p. 81 are darling, so I had to CASE one of them!

I used the stamp set/dies bundle with Thoughtful Journey 6"x6" DSP.  The cardstock I used includes White Willow, Crumb Cake, Strawberry Slush, Pool Party, Petal Pink, Pretty in Pink, Lemon Lolly, and Black.  I used Crumb Cake, Strawberry Slush, Pool Party, and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Pads, then finished the card with Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink gems.

What occasion would you use this card for?

Mother’s Day Paper Bouquet

This Paper Bouquet kit was so much fun to put together!  All of the pieces are precut; you just need to assemble.

Be prepared to have a pair of pliers and a hot glue gun in addition to the kit contents to assemble.  I liked using my bone folder to curl the petals, but some of my friends preferred their fingers to shape the petals.  It wasn't hard but did take a bit of time.  (Labor of love, anyone?)

The flowers feature the new In Colors Strawberry Slush, Timid Tiger, Darling Duckling, Cloud Cover, and Secret Sea.  I think my mom likes her "everblooms!"

You can find the Paper Bouquet kit HERE if you'd like to make one for yourself or a loved one.

Notes & Totes Baby Shower Card

This card was so fun to make for a sweet colleague who is expecting her first baby!  I used the Floral Impressions DSP paired with the Notes & Totes bundle to create the "diaper bag" and the items in it.  The sentiment is from the retired Sentimental Park stamp set and die cut with the Nested Essentials banner die.

I used the purse scarf die to create the stuffed bunny ears, first using the "true" side of Petal Pink Two-Tone cardstock and then using the light side to die cut the purse scarf again, then fussy cuttin it to make the inside of the bunny ears.  A small oval die, two eyes created with my Black Stampin' Write Marker, and some twine for whiskers creatively made the bunny's face.

I used the spray bottle die cut and trimmed the end to make the baby bottle.  (I love how it turned out!)  The tube of sunscreen could also be diaper cream.  For the background, I used a piece of Garden Green cardstock that I dry embossed with the Damask embossing folder.  A few Strawberry Slush In Color Flat Pearls finished off the card.

I think the mom-to-be loved her card.  I know I had fun making it!  I will be featuring this bundle in my June classes.  Let me know if you'd like to gather a few friends and learn how to use this fun collection!

Mother’s Day Card

Here is the card I made for my mom for Mother’s Day featuring the birth flowers of her three children.

I began with a Basic Beige cardstock base and then added the corrugated 3D embossed Sea Foam panel on top.  After stamping each of the birth flowers, I colored them with colored pencils.  A bow finished off the sentiment quite nicely.

I'm so grateful for my mom and to get to spend time with her!

Peaceful View Card

At OnStage back in March, I won the new Peaceful View cling stamp set, a pretty large single stamp.  Here is my first attempt creating with it.

I inked up the stamp in Black and then stamped onto a piece of Thoughtful Expressions 6"x6" DSP that I then trimmed down for the front panel.  (I also cut a little strip of the DSP for the inside of the card.)  I mounted the stamped panel onto a piece of White Willow and then onto a Misty Moonlight card base.

The sentiments are from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set, which I also stamped in black.  I added a pair of Drusy gems to finish it off.  This pretty card came together so easily!  I can't wait to try inking up the Peaceful View stamp in different colors.

Floral Impressions Secret Sea Thanks

For this card, I stamped the large solid flower from the Impressions Abloom stamp set in Secret Sea in both first and second generation (or by inking up once and then stamping twice: the first is the full strength color, and the second is a lighter version) then adding Darling Duckling centers and Garden Green leaves.

After stamping the panel, I cut it and then pieced it onto the card front.  Since Garden Green is a darker color, I added a White Willow panel on the inside of the card to finish it.

You might be interested in signing up for a virtual retreat using this stamp set (or one of your own if you'd prefer).  Learn more HERE.

Celebrate the 2025-27 In Colors!

Let's get ready to celebrate the release of the NEW 2025-26 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog on Tuesday with a peek at the new In Colors: Strawberry Slush, Timid Tiger, Darling Duckling, Cloud Cover, and Secret Sea.

I had fun with the Arched Wishes stamp set and Everyday Essentials dies to create this fun birthday card which highlights Strawberry Slush and Darling Duckling.  I used each of the In Color Flat Pearls also.

Which new color is your favorite?

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!

As part of my National Scrapbooking Day celebration, I wanted to share a before and after of a hiking layout!  Here is the first draft of the layout I made for my April scrapbooking class using the Country Woods and Country Lace DSP featuring a hike my husband and I took on the southernmost terminus of the Appalachian Trail.  I like how I made the AT "marker" using the Classic Alphabet stamp set, but all in all, the layout felt too plain for my taste.  I let it sit for a few days until inspiration struck.

Now here's the updated version.  First, I added the topography map DSP from the Take to the Sky suite over the dotted paper that was there.  It's a subtle change but really adds to the hiking theme.

Then I went through my stash and found what was left of my die cuts from the Changing Leaves bundle.  Even though there wasn't any Crumb Cake in the layout, it's a perfect neutral (and match for the trees in the photos) to enhance the pages.

Be sure to cluster embellishments and place them in a visual triangle to move your eyes across the page.  This really helps accent the page and keep the focus where it should be.

PRO TIP: While you're working with a stamp set/die bundle, make extras to have on hand.  You never know when inspiration will strike!
