Heirloom Arrangements Kit Cards, Part 2

Using only the Heirloom Arrangements kit stamp set, the included Pecan Pie Stampin’ Spot, and leftover pieces from the card kit, I created five more cards by only adding five notecards and corresponding envelopes.

You can see how I used the grid stamp to add some interest to the backgrounds.

I hope these inspire you!  I can't wait to see what YOU make.

Heirloom Arrangements Kit Cards, Part 1

The Heirloom Arrangements card kit makes eight beautiful cards! I made all eight cards mostly following the directions, and in part two I will show you what I did with the leftover pieces.  NOTE: You do NOT have to follow the directions unless you want to!

The kit comes with beautiful botanical die cut pieces, frames, and tags to mix and match.

Pecan Pie Stampin' Spot (included) coordinates perfectly for a vintage look.

I love how everything you need is contained in the small box that the kits come in!

Not pictured, but I stamped the moth inside each card and added it to the envelopes also.  Don't forget to decorate your envelopes!

So Much to Celebrate Card Kit

NO FOOLING!  One thing that I love about Stampin' Up! is that they provide products for all levels of crafters and/or crafting experiences! The So Much to Celebrate card kit is so easy to put together that you don’t have to have any experience whatsoever to create nine beautiful cards (three each of three designs). I would definitely consider myself a very experienced paper crafter, and I still enjoy how fast and easy these kits come together to create lovely cards.

Who needs congrats/best wishes cards this season?  I love the soft colors and gold foil accents.

The coordinating envelopes have pretty stripes.

The preprinted sentiments are available in four languages, so get fancy and use one of them!

At only $14 plus shipping & handling/tax, these cards are a very easy and affordable option.  Everything that you need comes in the box!

Thinking of You In Colors Card

This card design is a favorite of mine, and I had fun making these as part of my swaps for Stampin' Up!'s recent annual convention, OnStage, in Raleigh.  I used the Unbounded Beauty DSP with Peach Pie, Shy Shamrock, and Petunia Pop stampin' pads.  I used the Nested Essentials dies for the focal sentiment and fussy cut the flower and leaves.  A few In Color shimmer gems finished off the card.

Floral Delight Thinking of You Cards

Because of the supplies I had on hand, I ended up making two versions of this Floral Delight thinking of you card.  Both are top-fold cards using the Sentimental Park stamp set and dies.  The first one uses Old Olive and Daffodil Delight.

The second card added Pool Party and Lemon Lolly.  (I made nine of these for a group swap at OnStage.)

So Thankful Butterfly Cards

These two cards came together, literally from scraps from my messy desk! I ended up cutting the Beautiful Butterflies hybrid 3-D embossing folder panel into four three-quarter inch strips that I mounted on Beautiful Bokeh DSP.  I had fun with the Beautiful Butterflies bundle (stamps and die cuts) for both cards.  I added some Itty Bitty Bokeh Mix to the card front.

The cards use Berry Burst or Daffodil Delight cardstock for the card bases.

It's time for the final card sketch of this series!

Sundays Are for Sketches: Jan.-April '25 Mini Catalog Sketch #9 of 10

Who is ready for spring?  Today is the first day of Daylight Savings Time (although I honestly wish we could just decide on one time for the entire year), but at least that means that spring is approaching!  Are you ready for card sketch #9?

Although the image seems to show thread or ribbon behind the focal image, I think that the Sentimental Park die cut is a great substitute without having any threads.
I used Floral Delights DSP paired with the Sentimental Park stamp set and dies with Old Olive Stampin' Pad.  I love all the details of the dies (cut with Basic White, Olive Olive, and Daffodil Delight cardstock).  These products make it easy to make pretty cards.  I hope that you like it too!

I’m Here for You Card

Here is another card we made at my card class last month.  I love teaching how to paper craft!

This card began with the Brushed Gold cards and envelopes paired with the Beautiful Butterflies bundle and hybrid embossing folder.  The butterfly was dry embossed and cut at the same time with the hybrid embossing folder and then I cut the black outline and body overlay from the dies.

To make this card extra interesting, I cut off about 3/4" of the front panel.  I adhered the black dry embossed 1" panel to the inside card base.  (I love how our our two-toned, white-core cardstock dry embosses with a bit of the white core showing through for a distressed effect.)  After cutting a rectangle from the Nested Essentials dies and stamping the sentiment, I adhered that piece to the inside card base on the black panel and then tucked the card front behind it.  Three gold adhesive-backed sparkle gems finished off the card.

You can find all of these products (and so much more!) on my website!  Thank you in advance for choosing me as your Stampin' Up! demonstrator if you don't already have one.

More Hello Butterfly Cards

This card may seem familiar because it's a similar design but a side-fold instead of a top-fold  like you can see HERE.  I used the Beautiful Butterflies bundle (stamp set and dies) plus the coordinating hybrid embossing folder.  I also used Basic White and Basic Black cardstock and black ink with the Beautiful Bokeh 6"x6" DSP mounted on a Fresh Freesia cardstock base.

I added three Itty Bitty Bokeh Mix gems to provide some sparkle to the card.  I think every project needs a bit of sparkle!

Tag Sketch #8

In addition to ten card sketches on p. 12 of the January-April Mini Catalog, you can also find ten tag sketches.

I had a lot of fun creating this tag with the Beautiful Butterflies bundle, Full of Life DSP, and Balmy Blue, Basic Black, and Basic White cardstock.  The blue iridescent adhesive-backed discs added such a pretty touch!  I used my Nested Essential Edies to create the hexagon behind the large butterfly.  I used one of the Everyday Arches dies to create the Balmy Blue tag base and then the next smaller one to help me doodle a black accent on the tag.

To take the tag to the next level, I added it to a Basic White card base and stamped the "polka dots" from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set in Balmy Blue after tracing/doodleing around the tag with my journaling pen.

I think I like the tag on the card even better!  Don't you love how those iridescent discs catch the light?

I can't wait to see how you interpret this design and what you create!

Sundays Are for Sketches: Jan.-April '25 Mini Catalog Sketch #8 of 10

Are you ready to try the 8th card sketch from the January-April 2025 Mini Catalog?

I used the Wildflower Birthday DSP which includes some beautiful die cuts as part of the collection.

Can you see how I scored the Soft Sea Foam cardstock to give it some interest and texture?  I added a few gold adhesive-backed sparkle gems to compliment the gold foil accents of the DSP/die cuts (though they didn't photograph well).

I can't wait to see what you make with this sketch!

One Card, Three Ways (Hello Butterfly Cards

Each of these cards use the Beautiful Butterflies bundle (stamp set and dies) plus the coordinating hybrid embossing folder.  They also use Basic White and Basic Black cardstock and black ink.

My first card uses Daffodil Delight and cardstock plus the Bloom Impressions Sale-A-Bration DSP.  (Today is the last day of Sale-A-Bration!)

The second card uses Fresh Freesia cardstock and the Beautiful Bokeh DSP.

The third card also uses the Beautiful Bokeh DSP but this time paired with Berry Burst cardstock.

Which is your favorite?

Congrats Retirement Card

My school district's assistant superintendent is retiring, so I made this pretty card for her celebration today.

I used a variety of products, including the Everyday Arches dies, the Beautiful Butterflies bundle and hybrid embossing folder, and the Congrats from a past Paper Pumpkin set. I used Autumn Splendor DSP and Fresh Freesia card stock. Balmy Blue ink and a blending brush colored the butterfly and the congrats sentiment.  I finished off the card with some purple sequins and a white knot.

I wish her all the best in this next chapter!

Butterfly Die Cut Note Cards

In the Beautiful Butterflies dies or bundle, there is a butterfly outline with straight edges at the top.  This die is meant to be used with our note cards and envelopes to create the perfect butterfly cards.  I love how mine turned out.

For my first card, I left the note card open (not folded in half yet to make the card), adhered the pretty Full of Life 6x6 DSP to the front (only) and then carefully lined up my die on the front of the card.  That left the back of the card as a rectangle.  I added the die cut overlay (also Full of Life DSP) and the butterfly body.  I used a black journaling pen to outline around the butterfly so that I could easily know where to write (or not write) on my card base.  I finished off the card with adhesive discs.  Don't forget to decorate your envelope!  I covered the flap with leftover Full of Life DSP that matches my card front.

My second card uses the same die but I folded the note card in half and then cut it with the butterfly card die to make a butterfly-shaped card.  I attached it to a piece of 4-1/4"x5-1/2" piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock to make my card "base" (it doesn't open) and added a smaller piece of Beautiful Bokeh DSP.  On the actual butterfly card, I stamped the base wings in Balmy Blue and then added the Daffodil Delight die cut overlay.  After stamping and cutting out the sentiment, I added a little Balmy Blue ink with a blending brush because the white-on-white didn't look that great.  I finished this off the a Basic Black butterfly body and some Itty Bitty Bokey Mix.

Sundays Are for Sketches: Jan.-April '25 Mini Catalog Sketch #7 of 10

This week is the final week of Sale-A-Bration, so if you haven't taken advantage of these fun special offers, be sure to do so before the end of the month!  Here's card sketch #7 to inspire you.

I used my Beautiful Butterflies bundle with the To Market DSP from the annual catalog.  I stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink

To create the plaid banner, I die cut a banner with the Nested Essentials dies and then cut it in half to stretch it longer. I then hid the cut with the Garden Green panel, also cut with the Nested Essentials dies.

A few In Color shimmer gems in Peach Pie nicely finished off the card.

You Are Fantastic Card

Here is the card that I made on last Thursday's Facebook live featuring the Beautiful Butterflies and Everyday Arches bundles.

I used a Daffodil Delight cardstock panel as my base and layered the pretty Bloom Impressions piece on it after die cutting the butterfly outline from that piece.  The white arch covers the die cut negative and is actually the card!  To make the arch card, make sure that the straight cutting edge of the die is just off the card fold to make the arched card.

I used Shy Shamrock for the sentiment.  Who would you make this card for?

Sundays Are for Sketches: Jan.-April '25 Mini Catalog Sketch #6 of 10

The 6th sketch in this series is another fun one!  I grabbed my Beautiful Butterflies hybrid embossing folder and dies and Full of Life 6"x6" DSP to make my card.

I started with a piece of Balmy Blue cardstock that I dry embossed with the 3D Soft Waves embossing folder.  Rather than cut a square, I die cut a Blueberry Bushel rectangle with my Nested Essentials dies to ground the main butterfly on the card front.  The large butterfly was embossed and cut out of Daffodil Delight card stock.  For the smaller butterfly, I had planned to use the grid side but loved the blue stripes on the back instead.  As I die cut the butterfly pieces, I also die cut the Basic Black cardstock bodies.

A few Tinsel Gems Four-Pack adhesive dots finished off the card. I really like how it turned out!
