More Thank You Cards

One fun thing about Convention is all the swapping that goes on among consultants! All you do is create something from your heart with Close To My Heart products to swap with someone else. I usually make multiple items following the same card pattern or idea. (I wish I had taken some pictures of the ladies sitting in the hallways with their wares layed out. It almost looked like a flea market or something!)

This first card uses one of my all-time favorite stamp sets, Treasure Life. I used the Perfect Day paper pack and the Tulip Just Blooms as my inspiration/color palette. Can you see the shimmer mist on the close up?

Because my patience is only so big (or is that so small?), I made 5-10 identical cards and then moved on to something else. This second card follows the Wishes "Done Right" pattern using the Sweet Home paper pack.
Both cards use the Thank You stamp set. Other embellishments include Basic craft buttons, Tulip embroidery floss, Antique Copper brads, and Indian Corn Blue Fancy Fuzz.
The only thing I haven't unpacked from Convention is my crafty stuff, but when I do I will take pictures of all the cool swap items I brought home and share them with you. Currently I'm busy trying to move my craft room so that our younger DD can have the downstairs bedroom for her very own. That means my craft stash (or crap as hubby calls it) must go into the dining room/kitchen area of the basement. I will have to share the kitchen with him as that has been his tool area/workshop. Who knew that moving your craft room would require emptying/cleaning the fireplace? I've already painted but will have to apply a second coat in the morning. Every time I turn around, something else needs to be completed. Hopefully I'll be like the famous tortoise: slow and steady will win the race!

  2. Love the cards! I need to get inspired to make some more. Soon! Like tonight, maybe? By Sunday, at least!
